Maximise and minimise icons not showing on Windows desktop app upon first load

The classic maximise and minimise window buttons and the 'X' that usually shows on Windows applications wasn't showing for some users upon installing the application for the first time. They had to quit the application and reopen it a second time for the actual buttons to show.

Let's investigate if this is a glitch or if it's common behaviour or if it's a one-off or what's going on.
